Our Rescues
A lifelong sanctuary for animals in need
The equine residents at Saving Gracie have varied backgrounds, from decommissioned thoroughbred racehorses to companion animals who have been neglected by their owners. Each one has their own unique story.
Over the years, we have rescued many horses, a handful of cows and goats, and a couple of cats & dogs. We have been and remain to be a resource for our community that will always be there for animals that are in need.
A loving retirement home for working horses
In addition to our work within the community, we have a special relationship with Blue Sky Adventures and The Lodge at Blue Sky. Since 2010 Blue Sky has had an equine program that allows guests to ride.
Our partnership allows Blue Sky to safely retire horses into the Saving Gracie program when they are done working, whether that be due to age or health issues.
We believe that these horses, after working for humans, deserve to live a life where they will not be at risk of being “thrown away” because they no longer serve a purpose that humans wanted them for.
