Susan came to Blue Sky to be a guest trail horse. She worked for a few years, but after every ride, she would become so lame. She has horrible feet, and despite all our efforts to strengthen her hooves, nothing helped enough for her to stay in the working horse program.

When I started the foundation in 2015, Susan was retired and came to live at Gracie’s Farm. Susan is one of the sweetest horses on the property. She is a perfect angel in all circumstances, whether she’s doing rehab, greeting a guest, getting her feet done, or being seen by the vet. She has a demeanor we wish every horse had.
